ISO 22241 AdBlue® Specifications

AdBlue®, also known as AUS 32 DEF, is an additive that is used in diesel engine exhaust systems to neutralise toxic NOx emissions. It uses a simple procedure of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to reduce the harmful emission of Nitrogen Oxides. It is a registered trademark that is owned by the German Association of the Automobile Industry.

After Euro 6 guidelines, it has become an essential component of every diesel vehicle to ensure its compliance. However, AdBlue® needs to meet strict specifications under ISO 22241 standards to ensure it is reliable and safe for diesel engines.
