EN 15490 Paraffinic Diesel Fuels Specifications

Paraffinic diesel fuels are synthetically made, sustainable, and biodegradable, and they can be used as replacement fuels for BS 590 diesel. Its examples include HVO fuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and Shell GTL. These are new-generation fuels that produce extremely low emissions and can serve as a drop-in replacement for ULSD in vehicles with OEM approval.
